How To Use
Getting Started

Welcome! This journal saves everything automatically right inside your phone or computer's browser. There's nothing to install and nothing to remember to click. Just fill things in and move on.

Step 1

On a computer, all the sections are listed in the panel on the left, just click a section name to open it. On a phone, that panel is hidden to save space: tap the ☰ menu icon in the top-left corner to open it, then tap a section name.

Step 2

Start with 📋 Today's Session: fill in what you did today, exercises, sets, reps, how you felt. It saves the moment you type, no "Save" button needed. Reopening a past entry from 📅 Session History shows a banner letting you know you're editing it instead of starting fresh.

Step 3

Come back any day and log a new entry. Your past entries are always available in 📅 Session History.

Step 4

Tap the ⚙ gear icon in the top-right to adjust font size or switch between Dark, Light, and Contrast themes, whatever's easiest on your eyes.

Why I Built This

Calisthenics isn't just about going through the motions, it takes strategy. I was gaining some muscle and strength, but I'd hit a wall: a plateau with little progress for a while. A plateau can be fine if it's backed by a system, but honestly, I was doing a lot of random things, circuits that touched many areas without knowing exactly what I actually needed to work on.

I still don't have all the answers. A lot of this is discovery: intuition and insight earned through experience, unless you're coached, and even then you have to believe in the ideas, work on them, and experiment for yourself. Everyone's body is different: height, weight, proportions, lifestyle. In my case, I spend a considerable amount of every day in front of a computer, and have for years.

The first step toward getting anywhere is clarity, and record keeping is what keeps me accountable. I have a bias that data tells a better story than anecdote, what gets measured gets done. That's why I built this.

If you're already using a journal that works for you, that's great, there's no need to switch or complicate things. If you're here, I'd love to get your ideas on how to improve this. This is still just a prototype, and I'll keep patching it going forward to make it simpler where it needs to be, and more intuitive overall.

🎤 Logging Exercises With Your Voice

In the Exercise Log on 📋 Today's Session, there's a "Quick Add" box above the table. Tap the mic and just say what you did, something like "Push-up, 3 sets, 20 reps" or "Pull-up 3x8", and it fills in the row for you. No need to tap through a form between sets.

You can still type it instead, or use + New Exercise to pick the exercise name and set count manually first. Both ways work side by side.

Voice accuracy is generally solid on a computer, but speech recognition on phones can occasionally mishear words or insert ones you didn't say. Always glance at what got logged before moving on, it's quick to fix by just tapping the field and retyping.

What Each Section Does

📋 Today's Session: Log today's workout, by voice or by hand.

📅 Session History: Browse everything you've logged in the past.

🔄 Bi-Weekly Planner: Plan out your training schedule in advance.

🎯 Skill Progressions: Track skills you're working toward (like a handstand or pull-up).

📚 Exercise Library: The list of exercises you can pick from when logging a session.

🌙 Sleep: Log your sleep and how rested you feel.

🥩 Nutrition & Hydration: Track meals and water intake.

📊 Weekly Review: See a summary of your week.

🤖 LLM Export: Export your data in a format you can paste into an AI chatbot for coaching advice.

💾 Backup / Restore: Save a backup copy of your data, just in case.

Important Things To Know

⚠️ Your data lives only on this device, in this browser. If you switch phones, use a different browser, or clear your browser's data, your entries will disappear unless you've backed them up.

✅ To be safe, every so often go to 💾 Backup / Restore and tap Export to save a copy you can keep in your email, Google Drive, or photos.

📱 On your phone, you can add this page to your Home Screen so it opens like a regular app. Tap your browser's Share button and choose "Add to Home Screen."

🎤 Any field with a microphone button works best in Chrome, Edge, or Safari. Opera is known to block the voice service entirely, if the mic doesn't respond there, typing still works fine everywhere.

Still Stuck?

Nothing here will break anything, feel free to tap around and explore. If a number or entry looks wrong, just tap it and type the correct value; everything updates instantly.
